Early Art Deco Platinum .36 CTW Diamond Engagement Ring

Early Art Deco Platinum .36 CTW Diamond Engagement Ring

Beautifully bold in its geometric form, this Art Deco ring boasts .36 total carats of genuine diamonds, each set within a platinum carriage atop a platinum band. The ring is square in silhouette, with 22 single cut diamonds accentuating a center brilliant cut .16 carat diamond. The center stone is set within a square setting with milgrain detailing, held in place at each of the four corners with a trio of prongs. The square center appears to ‘float’ within a hexagonal shape, with cutouts adding geometric emphasis.

The shoulders of the carriage are both formed by a pair of diamond-encrusted extensions. Between each pair is another cutout in the shape of an elongated triangle. The century-old ring bears expected wear for its age, with a tiny chip to the upper right side diamond (when the platinum hallmark is upright) that is invisible to the naked eye. Its slight imperfections only add to the charm of this piece, and do not take away from its integrity. This ring is a shining example of iconic Art Deco design and taste.
