Mid Century 10k Yellow Cultured Pearl Solitaire Ring with Florentine Finish

Mid Century 10k Yellow Cultured Pearl Solitaire Ring with Florentine Finish

145.00

Hailing from the late 1960s through the early 1970s, this classic solitaire ring features a single cultured pearl that is half-enveloped in a swooping gold arch. This arch acts as the carriage of the ring, and it and the shoulders are decorated with hand-etched crosshatching known as a ‘Florentine Finish’. According to the world famous auction house Sotheby’s (est. 1744), this kind of detailing grew to its height of popularity during the 1970s, and was used to adorn all kinds of metal goods, including furniture, jewelry, handbags and mirrors, and more.

The ring’s pearl is cultured, bears the highly desirable gritty texture that characterizes genuine pearls and that is invisible to the naked eye. It is classified as having a crème white coloring, that appears bright and lush, giving a warm underglow as pictured in the photographs. Its setting is asymmetrical, yet maintains a sense of minimalism with clean lines and simplicity. Propose with this ring as a stunning alternative to the typical diamond engagement ring, or gift for a birthday, anniversary or holiday. This ring stacks well, is elegant and slender and makes for an understated statement piece.
